Change of scenery

So I have officially made the move from London to Philadelphia. I finished up grad school and have returned to my homeland for work. I’ll be living in the city of brotherly love - which is, coincidentally, where my brother also lives - but commuting to my employer’s office out in rural Pennsylvania to work during the week. While I am still very much involved with contemporary art, and this new job is an exciting opportunity to move my career forward, it is definitely a bit of culture shock.

I am now one of the many who make a daily commute, in a car. I have barely driven in the past several years, so this is quite a big adjustment for me in addition to the fact that my working environment is now no longer a gallery on a busy city street but a home office on a vast piece of farm land. See the picture of wild turkeys that walked past our windows on Friday morning.

Since I began this blog to chronicle my time in London, I am at a point where I’m not sure what the purpose of this space will be now. I won’t be traveling to exciting European and Middle Eastern locales for long weekends anymore, nor will I be seeing exhibitions at the same pace and requiring a spot to keep track of them. So I will probably post pictures from time to time - I have a new city and lifestyle to explore, after all - but expect some changes. For a start, I think this blog will require a new name. I’m leaning toward “Bridgadelphia” but am open to suggestions.
