My friend Caryn posted this on my facebook wall this morning. It’s from our feast last year in London. We spent two ex-pat Thanksgiving together, the first at an Indian restaurant when our Hard Rock Cafe plans were thwarted. The second year we got our act together and made a proper turkey dinner with all the fixin’s. I was thankful to have such a great friend to bear through the far away holidays (and other homesick times!) with and now that I’m back in the U.S. I’m missing her today. But I am thankful to be with my parents today for the first time in a few years. I’m in the city where America was founded and it snowed - an appropriate setting for the holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
